A: Kingdom2.com is the ONLY authorized dealer of re-manufactured King-Dome and Sea-King Satellite Antennas. Kingdom2.com is an on-line dealer for King Controls, who is the manufacturer of the King-Dome and Sea-King Satellite Antennas. King Controls repairs and/or re-builds the antennas and then kingdom2.com sells the units via their on-line store. King Controls does not sell direct to the consumer. Q: Are the refurbished King-Domes good systems compared to the new units? A: Yes, the systems are re-built and most of the time they are re-manufactured using brand new parts. The systems are then window tested under the same stringent guidelines as the new units. They leave looking and working as good as new. Q: What are the dimensions of your King-Dome systems? A: Diameter - 28 inches Height - 15 inches, standard or 12 inches, Low-profile (LP) Q: Which satellite television providers work with the King-Dome & Sea-King? A: DIRECTV, DISH Network, and Bell ExpressVU Q: What is the warranty? A: Refurbished antennas: 90 day limited warranty New antennas: 2 year limited warranty Q: How is the AutoScan different from the Automatic (in the stationary line)? A: AutoScan - Once parked you would enter in the zip code for your current location on your DISH or DIRECTV remote control to determine your current elevation angle. You then enter the elevation angle into your AutoScan controller and use your signal meter screen on your television to acquire the satellite and peak the satellite signal. Automatic – Once parked and stationary you hit the on search button on your Automatic controller and the King-Dome will start its search pattern to locate the satellite automatically. Q: How do your Trac-King & Sea-King (In-Motion) systems work? A: The Trac-King & Sea-King are our in-motion satellite antennas that provide the end-user the ability the view programming while driving or boating. These systems use DVB technology that allows the system to positively identify and track the satellite even while in-motion. Q: Are any of your systems capable of receiving internet? A: No, none of our systems are internet compatible. Q: Are your systems capable of getting DISH 500 service? A: All of our King-Dome antennas are DISH 500 compatible. The AutoScan has a memory function built into the controller to allow you to go between the 110 & 119 satellites. The Automatic has the optional multi-switch that also allows you to toggle back and forth between the satellites. The Trac-King & Sea-King are also DISH 500 compatible. Q: Do I really need the multi-switch (part #1824) for the Automatic to receive DISH 500 service? A: Yes, the multi-switch allows you to toggle back and forth directly between the 110 & 119 satellites to receive all the programming that DISH has to offer its 500 subscribers. Without the multi-switch you will not be able to go back and forth between the 110 & 119 satellites. Q: Are your systems HDTV compatible? A: Yes, but because HDTV technology is ever-changing please call King Controls (800-982-9920) directly for more information regarding HDTV compatibility. Q: What is the coverage area of your systems? A: Our satellite antennas work in the United States and approximately 100-150 miles north of the US/Canadian border and approximately 100 miles south of the US/Mexican border. Q: Does your antenna work outside of North America? A: No, our system is currently designed to work only with North American satellite television providers. Q: When I order on-line, what comes with the system and what do I need? A: The system comes complete: antenna, co-ax cables, wiring harness, and controller for your King-Dome or Sea-King. You provide a satellite receiver that you would get from the satellite television provider of your choice.
